Why buy this home?

Benefiting from a complete renovation and finished to an exceptional standard throughout, if you have been looking for a home that you can move straight into and enjoy, then this is the one for you.

An entrance hall can often set the tone for the quality of a home and this one certainly gives a great first impression. The current owners have even added a downstairs toilet for much needed convenience.

Amtico flooring which flows through the entirety of the downstairs leads you from the entrance hall to the living accommodation, which is all open plan.

The living area has enough space so you can arrange your furniture in a way that suits your requirements. Media walls are very much in fashion currently and you’ll be pleased to know that this home already has one with space for a large TV and a modern electric fire.

Leading on from the living area is the kitchen/diner which is, without a doubt, the star of this home. It has solid wood, shaker style units which are a mixture of marine blue and porcelain and give a classy, contemporary finish. Fitted larder style units maximise storage and can hold pretty much anything, from non-perishable foods, crockery, pots and pans, the list is endless. A large island with a Quartz worktop is the focal part of the kitchen and as well as providing a space where you’ll be able have casual dinners or morning coffees, it also provides additional storage. If hosting friends or family, it is the perfect place to layout snacks and drinks and as the hob is integral to the island, anyone cooking can still be part of the conversation. Other fitted appliances include a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer a double oven, and a Quooker hot water tap. A large skylight window floods the room with light and bi-folding doors lead out to the garden.

The garden, which has been landscaped, is low maintenance and has two patio areas to ensure that you can enjoy the sunshine in the morning and the afternoon.
Upstairs, there are two good-sized double bedrooms and a further single. The bathroom is fitted with a bath with a shower over it, it has subway tiling and there is storage under the sink for cosmetic items. The landing has a well-thought-out utility area with room for a washing machine and a condensing dryer.

At the front of the home there is paved driveway parking.

More about the location...

Leighton Buzzard is a market town in Bedfordshire, near the Chiltern Hills and lying between Aylesbury, Tring, Dunstable and Milton Keynes.

The area has become an increasingly popular place to relocate to for workers from London, helped in part by its reasonably priced housing – a big attraction for young professional couples wanting to get their foot on the property ladder. Leighton Buzzard provides great access to the countryside and other parts of the UK like London, Birmingham, Cambridge and Oxford.

Leighton Buzzard is close to the M1 motorway and A5 road, and is served by Southern and London Northwestern Railway services on the West Coast Main Line railway at Leighton Buzzard railway station in Linslade. The railway operates non-stop commuting services to Euston railway station, with the fastest peak journey times less than 30 minutes.

Leighton Buzzard operates a three-tier education system with a selection of with Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.

The River Ouzel runs through the town as does the famous Grand Union Canal, which Leighton Buzzard is well known for. There is a lot of activity along the canal which residents can enjoy, from peaceful walks to fishing and waterside pubs.

There are many community events scheduled throughout the year including both the Food and Canal Festivals in the summer, Linslade in Bloom, Music in the Park and the Christmas Market.

A short drive from Leighton Buzzard is Ascott House which is set in a 3,200-acre estate and benefits extensive manicured gardens which you are free to enjoy. There is also Rushmere Country Park on the outskirts of the town which is an area of 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows for you to explore. This is a Greensands Trust site with a visitor centre and café.

In 1963 the Great Train Robbery took place at a site near Bridego Bridge, between the villages of Cheddington and Linslade. Every time a Great Train Robber was caught law dictated that they had to be brought back to the small court house at Linslade to be charged.
